As part of the global breast cancer awareness campaign (Pink October), the Health and Safety Unit at Technical Institute of Duhok conducted a series of health and preventive activities for academic staff and students.

Workshop on Breast Cancer Awareness Among Women

A specialized workshop on breast cancer awareness was held in Azadi Hall at Technical Institute of Duhok, in collaboration with the Hariwan Organization. The workshop featured two medical presentations delivered by Dr. Rizvan Faisal and Dr. Iman Abdulhakim. At the conclusion of the presentations, a discussion was opened among the academic staff and students in attendance, with extensive discussions focusing on the signs of the disease and health changes.

Influenza Vaccination Campaign

Separately, the Health and Safety Unit at the Institute, in collaboration with the Preventive Health Affairs and Vaccination Directorate, affiliated with the Directorate of General Health in Duhok Governorate, announced a seasonal influenza vaccination campaign. The campaign aimed to strengthen the immune system of academic staff and students at Duhok Polytechnic University.
