Representative of the University President Participates in the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Development Meeting in Iraq (TVET 3)


At the Guest Hall of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Sherwan Mustafa, Director of the Directorate of International Relations,representing Prof. Dr. Ary Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, participated in the third Steering Committee meeting of the project

“Green and Digital Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Strengthening Employment Opportunities in Iraq (TVET 3).”

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Hamed Al-Mousawi, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Development of Education in Iraq, with the participation of representatives from the relevant ministries, UNESCO, and the European Union.

During the meeting, several key topics were discussed, including reviewing the progress achieved in implementing the project, developing future plans to advance the technical education system in line with the green and digital transitions, addressing labor market needs, and emphasizing the importance of coordination between government institutions and international partners to enhance youth skills, increase employment opportunities, and support sustainable development.

It is worth noting that Duhok Polytechnic University’s participation reflects its leading role in supporting the process of technical and vocational education and training, as well as its active contribution to national initiatives aimed at preparing qualified and competent professionals capable of keeping pace with the evolving requirements of development and the labor market.
