Duhok Polytechnic University Opens the Third Job Fair

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, and in the presence of Mr. Shukri Jamil Nouri, President of the Duhok Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with members of the University Council, the Third Job Fair, organized by the Career Development Center (CDC),was held at Sunday, 24 May 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the University Presidency Building.
The fair was organized with the aim of establishing a strong bridge between the university, society, and companies, as well as providing employment opportunities for graduates of universities and institutes in Duhok Governorate.
This year’s fair witnessed the participation of 35 private-sector companies, which were able to provide 187 job opportunities for university and institute graduates and the youth of Duhok Governorate.
History of Job Fairs at the University
Duhok Polytechnic University has consistently been at the forefront of supporting young people, and this leadership has been demonstrated through the following initiatives:
- First Job Fair (2021): Organized in cooperation with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), with the participation of more than 83 companies, providing 207 job opportunities.
- Second Job Fair (2023): Organized in cooperation with the World Food Programme (WFP) under the Jusoor Project, with the participation of 38 companies, providing 103 job opportunities for the youth of the region.
Through the three job fairs organized by Duhok Polytechnic University to date, more than 487 job opportunities have been created for young people and graduates in the region, reflecting the university’s effective role in reducing unemployment rates and supporting the skills and capabilities of young people.
