Duhok

On Monday, 29 June 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Presidency Building of the University, the Council of Duhok Polytechnic University held its sixth regular meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year, under the chairmanship of the University President, Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, and in the presence of the Council members and the representatives of the teaching staff and students. During the meeting, discussions were held on five main agenda items.

At the beginning of the meeting, the University President presented a number of recommendations and guidelines to the Council members with the aim of advancing the University’s scientific and academic status. Afterwards, the agenda items were discussed in detail.

The first agenda item addressed the administrative affairs agenda, the attendance of faculty members and employees during the months of July and August was discussed.

The second agenda focused on scientific affairs, emphasizing advisory committees, the library management system, and faculty promotions.

The third agenda Item discussed the importance of the University’s participation and cooperation in three major international scientific conferences scheduled to be held during the months of September, October, and November.

The fourth agenda item student affairs were discussed, including dormitory-related issues, the University calendar, and summer training. Under the final agenda item, the mechanism for directing and disbursing financial allocations for scientific research was discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President indicated that all the questions, proposals, and recommendations submitted would be implemented in accordance with the issued directives, with the aim of improving work management and providing better services to faculty members, employees, and students.
