Duhok Polytechnic University, in collaboration and partnership with the University of Zakho, announces the organization of the

“6th International Conference on Advanced Science and Engineering (ICOASE 2027)”.

Under the supervision and patronage of Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, and Prof. Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Saeed, President of the University of Zakho, and chaired by Prof. Dr. Yaman Sami Sharif from Duhok Polytechnic University and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jasim Mohammed Abdo from the University of Zakho, the first preparatory meeting for the conference was held today at the Presidency of Duhok Polytechnic University.

This high-level scientific conference will be held on 4–5 May 2027 in the cities of Duhok and Zakho, in both in-person and hybrid formats, with the participation of several professors and international keynote speakers, including Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Ati and Prof. Dr. Hussein Qayyim, alongside an extensive scientific committee comprising local and international members.

Academic Significance and Conference Objectives

The ICOASE conference series is regarded as one of the region’s most important scientific platforms, having successfully held five consecutive editions since 2018.

The primary objective of this conference is to bring together academics, researchers, and postgraduate students from around the world to discuss theoretical and practical topics and disseminate the latest innovations and scientific solutions related to contemporary global challenges in science and engineering.

The conference welcomes original and unpublished research papers relevant to its themes, including:

Information Technology and Computer Science: Artificial intelligence, information security, and the Internet.

Pure and Applied Sciences: Mathematics and statistics, numerical analysis, chemistry, and physics.

Electrical and Computer Engineering: Embedded systems, renewable energy, wireless communications, and signal processing.

Civil Engineering: Structural engineering, environmental engineering, water engineering, and earthquake engineering.

Mechanical, Industrial, and Petroleum Engineering: Quality control, machine design, and materials engineering.

Natural and Environmental Sciences: Pollution, microbiology, genetics, and climate science.

Scientific Standards and Publication Opportunities

All submitted research papers will undergo rigorous scientific evaluation through a double-blind peer-review process conducted by the scientific committees. Decisions on acceptance will be based on the originality of the research, its scientific depth, and its relevance to the conference themes.

Accepted research papers will be published and indexed in the following journals:

Scientific Journal of the University of Zakho (SJUOZ).

Dasinya Journal of Engineering and Informatics (DPU).

Several other international journals and publication outlets, which will be announced at a later date.

Full-text paper submission deadline: 1 February 2027.

Announcement of acceptance results: 1 April 2027.

Registration deadline: 20 April 2027.
