As part of efforts to strengthen external academic relations and provide educational opportunities for students in the Kurdistan Region, Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, accompanied by the three Vice Presidents of the University, received Dr. Yasin Salih, Director General of the Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, and the accompanying staff from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where a number of relevant issues were discussed.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Muayad Barakat, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Assist. Prof. Dr. Yaman Sami Sharif, Vice President of Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Nawzat Sadiq, Vice President for Student Affairs,

several important topics were discussed, including:

• External Relations Strategy: Focusing on ways to develop Duhok Polytechnic University’s academic relations with regional and international universities.
• Scholarships: Discussing the opening of scholarship opportunities to attract and admit foreign and international students to universities in the Kurdistan Region.
• Facilitation and Removal of Obstacles: Discussing the evaluation of the Ministry of Higher Education’s guidelines and policies with the aim of removing barriers and facilitating external academic cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of the University emphasized that these efforts fall within the framework of Duhok Polytechnic University’s action plan to enhance its academic standing, open the University to the outside world, and advance the higher education sector in the Kurdistan Region.
