Today, Wednesday, the President of Duhok Polytechnic University welcomed four academic staff members whose names have been included in the prestigious global list jointly published by Elsevier and Stanford University. The list identifies the top 2% of scientists worldwide.

During an official ceremony, the University President, Prof. Dr Ari Adel, in the presence of Prof. Dr Muayad Barakat, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, welcomed the scientists listed below:

• Prof. Dr Adnan Mohsen Abdulaziz, specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing.
• Prof. Dr Subhi Rafiq Mohammed, specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing.
• Asst. Prof. Dr Ahmed Fattah Abdulrahman, specialising in Applied Physics.
• Asst. Prof. Dr Hiwa Majid Muhyiddin, specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing.

The University President expressed the University Presidency’s appreciation and gratitude to the academics, commending this significant academic achievement. She also reiterated the University’s support and commitment to advancing scientific research and strengthening its academic standing at the international level.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the University President extended her special congratulations to the scientists, expressing his appreciation and describing this achievement as an important national accomplishment for the University. She wished them further success in serving science, advancing society, and enhancing the University’s standing within the global scientific community.

On the same occasion, the University President also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the University’s academic staff member, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sardar Omar Salih, in recognition of his efforts to add the Kurdish language to Microsoft Office.
