Duhok Polytechnic University Gender Center Participates in an Ideation Workshop


With the aim of identifying gaps in the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda and developing new proposals and initiatives in Duhok Governorate, Ms. Shahla Issa, Director of the Gender Center at the Presidency of Duhok Polytechnic University, participated on Monday, 17 August 2026, in an “Ideation Workshop” organized by The Lotus Flower Organization.

During the workshop, a number of important themes were discussed, including peace and social coexistence, the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325), gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence, as well as building confidence and strengthening and empowering women within society.
