As part of the preparations for the commencement of the new academic year (2026–2027), today, Wednesday, 19 August 2026, Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, received representatives of the academic staff of the colleges and technical institutes affiliated with the University at the University Presidency.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the challenges, issues, and requests of the academic staff and to ensure a suitable environment for the commencement of the new academic year. During the meeting, the representatives of the academic staff expressed their appreciation to the University Presidency for the reception and presented the main issues concerning the academic staff to the University President.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the challenges, obstacles, and entitlements of the academic staff. The University President warmly received the representatives’ proposals, views, and opinions and expressed the University’s readiness to address the challenges. On the other hand, the University Presidency emphasized the importance of following up, as soon as possible, on securing all the entitlements of the academic staff before the commencement of the new academic year 2026–2027. At the end of the meeting, the University President proposed that an administrative memorandum be prepared by the representatives, in which all requests and issues would be documented, so that they could be formally followed up and addressed.

This meeting falls within the framework of Duhok Polytechnic University’s strategy of relying on direct dialogue with academic staff and the academic community, with the aim of enhancing the academic and administrative standards of the University.
