A meeting was held on 08/09/2025 at the Center of Cultural to discuss the financial Dues of university lecturers, with the aim of addressing challenges related to university finance and improving academic staff capacities.

The four presidents of the public universities in Duhok Governorate participated:

• Prof. Dr. Aree Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University
• Prof. Dr. Manhal Ilham Abdul, President of Akre University for Applied Sciences
• Prof. Dr. Dawood Sulaiman Atroshi, President of University of Duhok
• Prof. Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Saeed, President of University of Zakho

The meeting focused on two key themes:

1. University Financial Management & Faculty Dues
   • Discussion of financial and administrative challenges in universities.
   • Emphasis on supporting faculty members’ financial competence.
   • University presidents and their deputies highlighted potential solutions, coordination, and strategies for sustainable management.

1. Academic & Operational Preparations for the New Academic Year (2025–2026)
   • Discussions included academic, scientific, and administrative issues in preparation for the upcoming academic year.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the universities agreed to continue holding such joint sessions to ensure better coordination and management practices across the four institutions.
