Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ari Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, and in the presence of the Vice president for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, the Dean of the Technical College of Engineering, the Director of the Cisco Academy Training Center, and the Head of the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering, the closing ceremony of the Intensive Cybersecurity Course was held today, 17 September 2026. The course was conducted under the supervision of the Cisco Academy at Duhok Polytechnic University, with the participation of 32 students and graduates from universities and institutes within Duhok Governorate.

Regarding the course, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yaman Sami Sharif, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, delivered a speech in which he congratulated the course participants, noting that they had received 60 hours of theoretical and practical training aimed at introducing them to specialized skills and expertise in the field of cybersecurity across both the public and private sectors. He also wished the participants success and continued progress. In this regard, he expressed his appreciation to Asst. Prof. Dr. Awder Mohammed Ahmed, Dr. Narin Obaidullah Mohammed, and Lecturer Ahmed Ramadan Rashid, as course instructors and academic staff members of the Cisco Center at Duhok Polytechnic University and Sulaimani Polytechnic University, for explaining and highlighting the most important topics and areas related to cybersecurity for the course participants.

On the other hand, appreciation was also expressed to the Cisco Academy Training Center and the Deanship of the Technical College of Engineering for organizing this important course, which was systematically organized in accordance with the practical needs of the labor market in the field of cybersecurity.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates of participation were distributed to the course participants by the attendees.
