Mission
The mission of the Tourism Management Department is to provide students with accurate and professional knowledge essential for success in the tourism industry. The department strives to prepare students to take on active roles in the tourism sector with an academic foundation, while also working to improve the management practices of tourism organizations.
Vision
Our vision is to establish an outstanding educational and training center dedicated to developing human resources tailored to meet the needs of tourism industry stakeholders. We aim to provide high-quality training that equips students with the skills necessary to support and enhance the operations of touristic organizations.
Department Objectives
The establishment of the Tourism Management Department is guided by the following objectives:
- Human Resource Development: To prepare well-qualified human resources who can contribute effectively to the implementation of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s tourism development plans, particularly for the Amedi district.
- Support for Tourism Organizations: To assist tourism organizations by supplying them with relevant, practical information and to offer training courses that enhance the performance and development of the tourism sector.
- Cultural Promotion: To train professionals capable of introducing and promoting Kurdish culture and folklore to both domestic and international tourists, enriching their tourism experience.
- Tourism Marketing & Research: To actively support tourism marketing efforts by conducting and publishing detailed reports and research aimed at boosting the tourism sector’s visibility and growth.
