Vision

The Department of Medical Laboratory Technology at Zakho Technical Institute was established in 2006. The vision of the department is to prepare highly qualified laboratory technologists to serve the community in the correct diagnosis of diseases. The graduates of this department will play an essential role in providing quality healthcare and will demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and interact with patients, physicians, and other health sector staff.

Mission

The mission of the department is to provide a conducive environment for students and staff to effectively teach students various subjects related to medical lab diagnosis within the field of MLT. The goal is to graduate outstanding lab technicians who possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and passion to work in both governmental and private health sectors. Additionally, the aim is to strengthen partnerships with local governmental and private hospitals and labs, assisting them in developing better diagnostic procedures.
