The 5th International Scientific Conference on Medical and Biological Technologies
The 5th International Scientific Conference on Medical and Biological Technologies was held in partnership between Duhok Polytechnic University, Al-Furat Alawsat Technical University, Alexandria University – Egypt, and Ishtar Private Medical College.
Under the theme: "Medical Technologies Our Hope for a Better Tomorrow."
The conference was supervised by:
- Prof. Dr. Ari Adel – President of Duhok Polytechnic University.
- Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Zubaidi – President of Al-Furat Al-Alwsat Technical University.
The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Bazav Naji Rashid – Head of the Duhok University delegation and Dean of the Technical Health and Medical College in Sheikhan, along with a number of university presidents, their assistants, representatives, and professors from various academic institutions in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
The first day of the conference was launched on Wednesday, 26th November 2025, at the presidency of Al-Furat Alawsat Technical University.
The first day of the conference's opening session featured two keynote lectures: one by the Turkish speaker, Prof. Dr. Necip Kim Kinacı, and the other by the Iraqi speaker, Prof. Dr. Ali Tariq. In addition, a variety of scientific research papers from universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region were presented.
Scientific sessions also featured a variety of research presentations from universities in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, addressing key topics including: Medical laboratory technologies, Public and community health technologies, Nursing technologies, Pharmaceutical and therapeutic technologies and Diagnostic and treatment technologies
The conference continued on its second day, Thursday, November 27th, 2025 at the Presidency Al-Furat alawsat Technical University in Najaf. The second day's sessions included the presentation of another set of peer-reviewed scientific papers and discussions on pivotal topics within the disciplines of medical laboratory technologies, community health technologies, nursing technologies, pharmacy and treatment technologies, and diagnostic and treatment technologies. as well as an exchange of views between the participating universities.
