The 4th International Scientific Conference of Medical and Biological Techniques was held
The 4th International Scientific Conference of Medical and Biological Techniques was held at Al Furat Al Awsat Technical University in cooperation with the Duhok Polytechnic University, under the slogan “Medical Technologies: Our Hope for a Better Tomorrow” during the period (4/17-18/2024).
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of the President of Al Furat Al Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Zubaidi, the representative of the President of Duhok Polytechnic University, Dr. Masoud Abdul Karim, and Professor Dr. Yasser Lafta Al-Ugaili, President of the University of Kufa, in addition to the assistants to the President of the University and the deans of the formations of Kufa, Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf and Al-Diwaniyah. Al-Rumaitha, and department directors at the university presidency, in addition to researchers, specialists, students of the Kufa Technical Institute, attendees who belong to Iraqi universities and the region, and university employees and formations.
The conference aimed to exchange experiences and learn about the latest developments in medical, health and biological science technologies, and research into typical diagnostic and therapeutic methods in the field of treating diseases, in a way that enhances ways to improve the quality of health and therapeutic services in the fields of medical laboratories, community health technologies, nursing and therapeutic pharmaceuticals.
61 research papers were presented, including papers from universities outside Iraq and others from Iraqi universities. Keynote speakers were also approved from the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the third and fourth were from the Duhok Polytechnic University and the University of Zakho.
The conference topics included medical laboratory technologies, community health technologies, nursing technologies, pharmaceutical and therapeutic technologies, and diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
A documentary film about Dohuk Technical University was also shown, in addition to a documentary film about Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.
At the conclusion of the conference activities, Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Zubaidi presented the shield of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to the representative of the President of Dohuk Technical University and representatives of the university, and the heads of the scientific and preparatory committees from Dohuk Technical University were honored.
