DPU Staff and Zeravani Command Organize Joint Training Courses
Based on the agreement signed on 21/08/2025 between Prof. Dr. Aree Adel, President of Duhok Polytechnic University, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Araz Rajab, Dean of Duhok Technical Institute, the university in Duhok welcomed Aziz Waisi Bani, Commander of the Zeravani Forces in the Kurdistan Region.
On 03/09/2025, a university delegation headed by Prof. Dr. Moayad Barakat, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, visited the Zeravani Command in Erbil.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the regional situation, the state of higher education, and opportunities for scientific and practical collaboration. They emphasized implementing the provisions of the signed agreement, which includes organizing various training courses such as:
- Surveying with Topcon 0.7 device,
- Physiotherapy,
- CNC machining,
- Soil testing,
- Computer programming,
- First aid,
- Welding.
The university staff and Zeravani Command also visited the military laboratories and facilities in Erbil, aiming to exchange expertise and utilize engineering and medical equipment for academic and practical training of Zeravani forces.
