DPU Receives a Delegation from UNESCO
On 14/4/2025, Asst. Prof. Yaman Sami Sharif, Vice President of Duhok Polytechnic University for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nawzat Sadiq, Vice President for Student Affairs, welcomed a delegation from UNESCO, including Dr. Tap Raj Pant, Chief of Education at UNESCO Iraq.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts and strengthening relations between the university and UNESCO, particularly in the fields of vocational education and technical training. UNESCO reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the education sector in the Middle East and Gulf region, with a special focus on Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Additionally, the two parties discussed the continuation of the third phase of the TVET project, highlighting its significance in advancing technical and vocational education.
