DPU and The Lotus Flowers Sign MoU to Launch Digital Skills Training for Female Students


On June 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM, Duhok Polytechnic University and The Lotus Flowers organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at implementing training courses in mobile application development, websites, and software for the university’s female students, with support from the German organization GIZ.

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the university's Career Development Center, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Muayad Barakat, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Ms. Viyan Ahmad, Regional Director of The Lotus Flowers organization. Also attending was Dr. Faez Saeed, Director of the Career Development Center, who stated:

"The purpose of this MoU is to launch a training course for 25 female students from Duhok Polytechnic University. We also look forward to expanding this initiative in the future to benefit a larger segment of students and graduates."

This initiative aims to build the students' capacities in modern digital fields that enhance their employability, within the framework of cooperation between the university and international organizations.
