Directorship
The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Quality Assurance, as outlined in the regulations of MHESC in 2010, are as follows:
- Strengthening university quality assurance, particularly ensuring compliance with the Ministry’s Quality Code for Higher Education.
- Developing and implementing Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures to monitor students' pass rates, dropout rates, and their feedback role for teaching staff.
- Representing the University in the QA high committee and NUR Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education, fulfilling compulsory required responsibilities.
- Developing academic policies to ensure accurate and effective QA program implementation.
- Managing the activities of the Quality Assurance Committee, the College’s and institutions principal committee, ensuring rigorous academic standards among them.
- Establishing excellent relations with senior academics across the University, including key staff of colleges and institutions, department heads, and university directorates' directors.
- Maintaining contact with other areas of the College/institutes to develop new/improved processes and supporting systems.
- Maintaining contact with peers in other HEIs to develop new/improved processes and supporting policies at the University.
- Supporting the work of Committees, working groups, and other required meetings as requested.
- Keeping updated and complying with all policies and regulations.
- Keeping skills up to date and developing expertise in key areas.
- Developing and implementing a system for quality assurance of students’ assessments and examinations.
- Developing and implementing a system for quality assurance of teaching facilities.
- Developing and implementing a program-level Self-Assessment framework.
- Developing and implementing a Management Information System to provide quality-related information from quality data.
